Smith/Kerr Associates publishes and packages books partnering with authors, corporations and organizations. Each book project is unique in concept and marketing and receives individualized attention from the principals.
Spencer Smith has been involved in book publishing for more than thirty years. He has worked at Fodor’s Travel Guides, David MacKay Publishers, Book-of-the-Month Club and Dearborn Financial Publishing. He is author of two books on maritime and travel subjects. Spencer has edited and published numerous titles in the business, maritime, travel and history fields.
Jean Kerr has been writing and publishing books for more than twenty years. She is Editor-in-chief of Northeast FLAVOR magazine, New England’s only food and wine magazine. She is author of Mystic Seafood: Great Recipes, History and Seafaring Lore from Mystic Seaport (Globe Pequot Press), Union Oyster House Cookbook: Recipes and History from America’s Oldest Restaurant and the Windjammer Cooking: Recipes from Maine’s Windjammer Fleet (Seapoint Books). She has extensive experience in the sales and marketing of books, not only in the US but around the world.
